I’m slightly amused by the so-called “60’s”. Few people think of it as folk music for everyone and pencil-thin pants and pencil-thin ties for men and Chanel jackets and pencil-thin skirts for women.

Somehow 1960 to 1962 didn’t exist–certainly not as part of the famed “60’s,” which in my world covered the time from 1964 (maybe from Nov. 1963) until about 1975. This is the world of LSD, the Beatles, the hippies and long, ethnic skirts for women and bell-bottom jeans for men.

Recorded in 1966- can’t call it else than the “sixties”. Those do look rather like “pencil thin pants” for men. I guess these folks did folk music for everyone and the whole peace march thing as well. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8U6Oh9uSY8

    Pretty song, though. Fashion notwithstanding.
